I wanted to write and share my good news with you. I have osteopenia and have been taking medication to prevent further bone loss. I’m so excited to tell you that my last bone scan showed improvement in bone density and because of that improvement, I have been give a year vacation from taking the medication. My bone density is checked every two years. The only thing I’ve done differently that I can attribute the increase in bone density too, is attending yoga classes on a regular basis. And since I stated yoga about 2 to 2 1/2 years ago, I believe yoga has played a big part in that health improvement. I also have arthritis and have seen a lot of improvement in the flexibility of my knees. I feel that yoga has made a big improvement not only to my physical health but also my mental health.
Thank you Sheila, you’re a great instructor, you make all of your students feel good about their yoga practice.

I was directed to this video today: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QlYfO1R83A8  I was surprised and sobered when I saw the numbers there in front of me.  Women struggle so in society and the pressure is tremendous- and yet there is peace and freedom from the pressure and hope for women.  Thank you for empowering women (and men as well) through yoga.  I am a testimony of a life changed through yoga.  The message of acceptance and peace is so vital, especially today.  Many blessings to you!

I have only been into LincolnYoga on one occasion (as it seems I usually have a lot to do on most mornings), and I came in one cold, windy February Tuesday a.m.  Everyone was very nice and I was given a mat and several rolled blankets.  It was more of a workout than I expected and I was surprised that I was sweating, but towards the end, with the soft music and relaxing positions, I was totally relaxed..totally..and it felt so good.

I have tried to duplicate the yoga at home but it seems like the group sessioning and calm, reassuring talking of the leader is preferable.

I’ll be back again.
